Plantar fasciitis usually strikes with a vengeance with the first steps of one’s day, but there is no need to go through that painful experience. Wearing a boot at night can prevent the plantar fascia at the bottom of one’s foot from tightening, making for a more pleasant experience when one gets out of bed in the morning.
The soft night boot is secured with three contact-closure straps. These secure the foot at a 90-degree angle without being overly restrictive. Outside of the straps, the front of the boot for plantar fasciitis is open, which enhances the breath-ability of the support. And of course, one can customize the length of the straps to fit one’s foot, ankle, and calf.
The night brace for plantar fascia pain is free of latex and it fits either the right or left foot
It will be best to start wearing the night splint for a short period of time, perhaps only 1 hour the first night, then extending it gradually each night and week.
Most splints are also adjustable, so you can alter the tension to suit. It may be that you need to start with it looser and make it tighter over time. The ideal target will be to wear it overnight or for around 4 to 5 hours at a time. This is the perfect time period for the plantar fascia tissue to extend and begin to heal!

Numb feeling in my foot?
Experiencing a numb feeling in your foot when wearing the brace?
Ironically, this is a sign that the product is doing its job. It takes a couple of days for someone who wears a plantar fasciitis night splint to get used to the stretch provided by the splint.
Initially the stretch can be uncomfortable and can sometimes cause numbness, but once a customer wears it for a couple of nights they are then able to tolerate the stretch and the numbness goes away.
Common Causes of Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is caused by straining the ligament that supports your arch. Repeated strain can cause tiny tears in the ligament which can lead to pain and swelling. This is more likely to happen if:
- Your feet roll inward too much when you walk (excessive pronation ).
- You have high arches or flat feet.
- You walk, stand, or run for long periods of time, especially on hard surfaces.
- You are overweight.
- You wear shoes that don’t fit well or are worn out.
- You have tight achilles tendons or calf muscles.
